About Rebel Rae
singer/songwriter Rebel Rae was born in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and
Virginia), represents a culturally diverse backdrop which sets the tone for
her music. At nine years old, her grandfather, a renowned Jazz Pianist in St.
Louis, would become her driving force in pursuing music, insisting that her
voice was her instrument. With fellow D.C. artist Ari Lennox, Rebel Rae
joined the European leg of Lennox’s “Shea Butter Baby” tour, where Rae
performed to sold-out crowds in the U.K., France, Germany, Netherlands,
Norway, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden. She performed live in collaboration
with Coke Studios and #BeApp alongside performers like Katy Perry, DJ
Khaled, Bebe Rexha, and Miguel, helping to support the International Red
Cross and the Red Crescent Movement. She also joined Roc Nation’s Harry
Hudson and nine-time Grammy Winner Sheryl Crow, in Pelotonia’s Legends
Live! event, raising millions of dollars to benefit cancer research. Rebel Rae
opened for Bilal at the Sony Music Hall, in New York, June 13, 2022, and
completed a 4-day mini tour in her hometown of DC. Rebel Rae released her
debut album, The View From Down Here, in 2020, her EP, Permission, in
